Bright gold cachaça distilled from fermented fresh sugar cane juice. Aged 2-3 years in used American bourbon barrels.
Unlike Sagatiba Pura, Velha Esplêndida Cachaça is distilled in a 1000 liter, copper pot still after the fresh sugar cane juice has fermented 24-36 hours. Aging in used American white oak, bourbon barrels for two to three years gives Velha its gold color.
Aging gives Velha a smooth oak finish over the earthy, sugar cane body.
Bottled at 40% alcohol by volume.
