I've only tried the Plantation Jamaica 2000, so can't comment on how it compares to the 1998 version, but I must say for the price here in the EU you'll be hard pressed to beat it.
A bit rough around the edges maybe, but an ice cube fixes that nicely
DrinkUpNY has the Diplomatico Reserve Blanco in now too! I've been waiting for that to be available since tasting that at Ed's last Rum event in NYC.

And two new in the Atlantico line, Platino and Solera Reserva...

Jeez!

This is getting daunting!

El Dorado 12. I have been pleasantly surprised by how much more decent rum is making it into MLCC stores: FDC Centenario 18 yr old is another fave that I don't have to shop out of province for.

Ron Atlantico Reserve Cask (Awesome!)

Hispaniola Mamjuana (unpened)
Brugal 1888 (unopened)
Havana Club Barrel Strength (awesome)
Seista Keys Spiced (like gingerbread, tasty)
Mehkong (unopened)

I think that is my recent buys.

Plantation Jamaica 1986 Single Cask (again! this is absolutely amazing stuff!)
Plantation St. Lucia 2001
Plantation Panama 2000
Berrys' Own Selection Jamaican Rum 1990 (Hampden) -- another must have! one of the best Jamaican Rums I ever had. There is no way to put more flavour to a rum which is bottled at 46% abv. Fruits and high ester all the way. Makes a hell of a Mai Tai as well.
Trois Rivieres blanc 62% abv

Just bought a bottle of Virginia's own rum: George Bowman Colonial Era Dark Caribbean Rum. (Imported from parts unknown, then bottled here in Virginia.)

Tabuzak, I got the Atlantico Platino, although I probably won't open it for a while.

Also got some Old Monk and a couple bottles of Wray & Nephew Overproof.

I am a long time fan of Old Monk rum. I like drinking it while watching 70s Bollywood films especially.

Barbancourt 3 Star, which hasn't been available in Ontario. Or at least, not since I started collecting rum. Looking forward to adding one more country to my palates' globe-trotting!

(re: Old Monk, it's fabulous in coffee or lattes.)

How is the Cartavio? It hasn't made it to our shelves yet, here in germany.

(and to add the topic... another bottle of Plantation Jamaica 2000)
