White Rums

Whether you call them, clear, silver, white or simple 'see through' how do you drink them?

Okay, thanks... The vodka I have (and have had) out of the freezer hold a lot of (if not all) of the flavor it would normally have (or, at least is seems to.) I didn't realize that this isn't also the case with clear rums... much appreciated.

Well, I haven't tried it, and you might like it.

As an overall rule, the colder a liquid is, the less flavor you're able to taste in it. Since the reason one would generally choose to drink rum over vodka is a matter of flavor, drinking it ice-cold would seem to defeat the purpose. But if you like it that way, that's a different matter. In which case, I'd say go for it.

Yeah, I totally get how the warmer the beverage, the more flavorful it would be (or should be.) Just for poops and giggles I might pour a small amount of white rum into a glass and put it into the freezer and see how it goes.

P.S. I'm just looking at your site for the first time. - I quite like it.

Thanks! I appreciate that. I don't have a ton of rum-related content up, since I also cover other spirits. But I'm planning to put some more up in the near future.
