In the August issue Of CA Mag, there is a good article about rum. It talks about how rum is no longer just a mixer, and how it is gaining more respect as a spirit. (something we have known for a long time!). It also covers briefly the different distillation processes, and mentions many of the most well known rums, i.e. Zacapa, Appleton, Bacardi, etc. It also mentions the difference between Rhum Agricole and molasses based rums. The article is not up on the website yet, but there is another good article on rum, and another where they make tasting comparisons between certain rums and cigars. It's great that rum is getting even more exposure!
