It's a big place but there's rum in those mountains. Here's where to look for it. |

The last of the Foursquare
I had the pleasure of driving down to Orange County today to Hi Times, pleasure, because the traffic was the lightest I've ever seen, not to mention seeing the great guys at the store.
While I was there I picked up one of the last 1.75ml bottles of Foursquare Spiced Rum, the last time I was there I bought the last 750ml bottle. The good news is that there are are a few left. Is this the greatest spiced rum every made? Probably not, but it has been on my short list of favorite spiced rums for a long time. I just wish R L Seale would produce enough of this rum to reintroduce it to the US, but in the meantime, Hi Times is the only place I know where you can buy it in the US. At $18.99, it's a deal, and while you're shopping they've got some great deals on a couple of other things, so head down to Hi Times and check it out for yourself. And say hi to forrest and Trayce.

Foursquare is plentiful in Miami. Even the 375 bottle, which is less than $9.

The 1.75L bottle is 5 times bigger than a 375ml bottle so even at $8 for a 375 $18.99 for the big bottle is a great deal.

Ed - uncanny timing on this post. I was just thinking of you the day before yesterday. As you know, I get around the Chicago area often to see customers. I was out in Bloomingdale, and stopped into a Foremost Liquors on Bloomingdale Rd at the corner of Army Trail.
To my surprise, they had a healthy stock on hand of both 750mL and 1.75mL bottles of the Four Square. I was thinking of asking you if distribution was re-introduced, but I think you answered my question just by me reading the thread.
I wouldn't say it is priced at blowout rates - but it is available. The 750mL bottle was $14.99, I didn't bother to look at the tag on the larger, but there appeared to be about 5-6 bottles of each on the shelf.
I was tempted to get one, but I hadn't broken the wax on the bottle of Foursquare I bought late last year!

Plenty of Foursquare at Total Wine here in Orlando recently, but stock is dwindling.

So are both the Seale 10yr and Foursquare Spiced not generally available in the US still? Even online it looks like the only distributors are UK sites
