Hot Rum Drinks
OK, the weather is starting to cool off and the rain is pouring (where I am anyway). Now is the time when hot drinks become more appealing. Besides the venerable "Hot Buttered Rum" and "Rum Toddy" what hot rum drinks do you enjoy?

Hmm, let me try to get this started. There is a local bar that serves a concoction called a "Spanish Coffee". It consists of Bacardi 151, Kahlua, Triple sec, and hot coffee. They make these table side and it is quite a show. They start by rubbing a cut lime on the rim of a Irish Coffee glass. Then coat the rim in sugar. Next goes in about 3/4 oz. of the 151 which they light on fire and kind of twirl the glass to crystalize the sugar on the rim. Next, with the 151 still flaming, they toss in a wee bit of cinnamon and nutmeg along with 3/4 oz. Kahlua and a touch of Triple Sec. The Kahlua and Triple Sec are dispensed from bottles that have pour spouts that make a very thin stream of liqueur. The wait person pours the liqueur at arms length in to the flaming 151. Next the glass is filled with hot coffee and topped with softly whipped cream and a sprinkle of more cinnamon and nutmeg.
I know this sounds pretty complicated and that the rum is not at the forefront here. Also, I'm not a fan of much that is Bacardi. But they are really good and a great drink to chase away the cold and rain. On Fridays and Saturdays this place has an hour wait to get in the bar and they make hundreds of these things.
Anyway, anyone else have a good hot rum drink they would like to share?

Hot toddy x2
Hey, of course this is not the best, but how 'bout instant coffee, Cruzan light rum, and Kahlua or Bailey's? Forget winter....and up here we have a lot of it...call it the j-man's winter bowl-ya-over drink!
I have my bottle of Cruzan next to me...looking for more cafe-rum suggestions!
Later, the j-man WI USA

Not sure if it has a name or not, but I enjoy getting a high cocoa content hot cholate mix and mix it use one of those CocoMotion machines my wife got at a bridal shower...it is one of those gifts that you go...oh wow...gee thanks and never find a real use for . Any hoo......I like to substitute half of what ever the recipe says to mix with water (i.e. 1 pouch to 8 oz water) with milk and then the other half with Cruzan Rum cream so it would be 4 oz cruzan to 4 oz milk. Then for good measure I like to add about 2 oz of a dark rum to the bottom of the mug (Coruba or Black Seal) before I pour the cocoa in...then make sure to top it with wipped cream so you don't lose any pof the precious rum. After 1 of these any winter chill is long gone

I've always been a big fan of rum and hot apple cider myself. Appleton Special and some good cider always seems to hit the spot in the middle of winter.
