An ode to a wonderful rum
I can taste this rum while reading Nick's review despite the fact that I am not imbibing! Wonderfully eloquent, I have a favorite line, "... The aromatic equivalent of a gallic shrug...".

This is off-topic, but I want to thank all the posters for the information you have shared. I rarely read all the way through a thread that seems to focus on a single rum that I have not tried, but I am beginning to see that when I do, I find out a great deal more than is listed in the title alone. Haitian rhums are of interest to me simply because Mr. lperry travels there for work and brings them back for me, and I've enjoyed the very few I have tried. Now I know a great deal more about Barbancourt's rhums, and I will be better able to compile that all important "bring me" list. It is nice to be a little less clueless.
