For spiced rums, it's one of my favourite. Hence I have 2 extras for just in case.

I do like Kraken, but my favorite spiced rum is now the Old New Orleans Cajun Spiced. Try it.

I tend to stay away from Spiced Rums, a friend bought a bottle of Kraken, and I admit, I spent an evening drinking rum 'n cokes until passing out. But I didn't really like it, it was like drinking Vanilla Coke without any rum taste.

It was the first rum I ever tried and it smelled and tasted like fingernail polish remover at first. Its really good mixed and given the right mood it is pretty on the rocks. I will say I love the smell of it now and will buy again one day but it is defiantly not my favorite.

Hey Brother in RUM, the next time your Rum stock gets so low you have to resort to FINGERNAIL POLISH REMOVER, GIVE A SHOUT. My cousin just received a football scholarship there and I'll send you a TOT.

I like Kraken. I don't know that I've ever tried it neat or on the rocks. I've had it mixed a lot.
That Old New Orleans Cajun sounds really good. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Is it good? Many people criticize it, for "having a gasoline taste", while others claim it is best served mixed and consequently, it supposedly makes a great mixer... Many others compare it against Captain Morgan Black Spiced, the newfound entry in their line of products, which in all due honesty had been made to directly compete against Kraken!
Hmmm, most people who try and like Black Spiced, usually recommend other ones, like Bristol or the one that hit the spot for me, Sadler's Peaky Blinder!
I am on a quest to try new products, but only so long as they are really good and worthwhile. So, anybody with a taste for quality can verify, whether Kraken is okay or not? From a bottle design perspective though, it is trully top notch!
