Does anyone here know how this Rum Nation demerara 31 compares to the 12?

I doubt many of us have sampled a rarity like that but you should keep an eye on my site as I have Rum Nation Demerara 12 in the upcoming reviews. Then atleast you know how that is. Unless of course you already know?

Are you perhaps thinking of purchasing the 1975 demerara? I've been lusting after the 1977 Jamaica in a wooden box for a while now but I might as well add this to my list of lusts as well.

Oh my god I just fell of my chair with desire. I want that rum so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I've bored everyone with at length, I love the 12 year old with a passion. 31 year old sounds over-aged to me though. But I still want it real bad

There was a rum tasting here last tuesday but i was sadly to late to join in the tasting. But on the "menu" for the night was a bottle of that 31 year old rum. They even have it in their shop for sale.. but at a price 1595 danish kroner (320USD). A bit over my budget !

Hi All,
I've tasted a few sip of that rumnation demerara 31 yo at the end of event organized in Milan by RumClub Italiano, the last week.
We have served and explicated many many rum for three days. There was an wine-event, but we have a corner with almost 90 rum, for serving and selling.
At the end of the second day, tired by work, we decided to open the little sampling bottle of that demerara.

Finally. My impression was a rum with many consistency at palate, the alchol almost not present, matured fruit and little sweet wood taste that (probably) cover other aromas.

Of course I know that that rum need to be tasted more, and more relaxed. But I wasn't impressed, because seems that there isn't the outstanding aroma that I want to find at this price. I prefer demerara more spiced, or floreal, or fruited.

RumClub Italiano. That's my little friend Daniele, who is doing a great job in promoting the Rum Gospel in Italy.
