Default Quick Reply

The Quick Reply box at the bottom of each thread doesn't seem to be too quick to me, since I have to click the Reply button anyway. Any comments on removing this block of space, or do you actually use it by clicking on the quick reply icon?

I use the quick reply over the post reply because it keeps the prior threads above where I am composing the reply. This is especially helpful if I am replying to the last post or two in a thread.

Also when I use post reply first, it doesn't display properly in my browser. The emoticon section to the right mash and jumble into the far right column unless I open the window very wide - and I work on a 24" monitor.

I know that if I use post reply the prior threads are still in window, but they are far below the composing window.

Fyi, I am on a Mac using the Firefox browser, if it is any help to know.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm considering editing the quick reply code to include more options, but everything is a matter of time.
