Default Hercules Deluxe XXX from India?

Whats the story on this stuff? I didn't even know India produced rum, yet there it was on the shelf!

What is it with the Indians always putting "XXX" on their rums (Old Monk too).

Is this "naughty rum"?

I was about to type 'lol', but then I remembered I wasn't 14....

The Indian's do seem to love putting XXX on their spirits. We have a McDowells XXX Whisky in the bar

My bottles of Khukri, the 750 and the coronation, don't have the XXX, but I have seen it advertised as such.

I've been debating picking up this rum as well as the Old Monk.

Any suggestions as as to which is the better?

There is nothing wrong with being 14. You'd have legally driving to look forward to in just two short years, and savoring your first legal alcohol beverage in a mere 7.

Sooo, what is it that you really have to look forward to now, other than getting older, grayer and more forgetful?

For how many is the first legal drink now their first drink? Kids seem to have such free access these days, that it doesn't quite have the charge that it carried when I was younger.

Perhaps perspective or wisdom comes with age, if one is fortunate. In any case, you are far too young for such ruminations.

The Old Monk rum has a link in the database, but it is broken at the moment. There doesn't seem to be an entry for Hercules Deluxe or India, no doubt soon to be remedied.

Dug out some info on XXX if anyone cares.

Mere 4 years in Europe for both of them.

I remember I didn't wait till I was 18 and I believe it is a minority who wait till they are of legal drinking age.
