Default What to mix with Wray & Nephew?

Just wanted to see what people mix with Wray & Nephew. I was thinking of mixing it with Ting but any other choices fire away.

Hi RJ,

I tried W&N for a while with no results. OJ, GJ, coke, ginger ale, you name it. But then Mr. Mixologist, Forrest, gave me that recipe to try:

It is absolutely delicious. I've gone from "can't finish that bottle fast enough" to "regular buy" with that drink.

Back during the holidays i found what I thought was a great mix for Wray & Nephew. Did you happen to see the limited release of Pomegranate 7up? Talk about addictive by itself. Anyway...

It was good without the Chambord but for a reason that escapes me we decided to see what it would provide. the result was a bit more of a zing on each sip.

I cant remember the measurements, didnt write them down during the moment but you can probably experiment

Wray & Nephew
Chambord (not much maybe 0.5oz?, only for an accent to get that zing in the drink)
Pomegranate 7up
squeezed lime to preference (think we did two 1/4 lime swedges)

Thanks Ben and BaltRumFan, both of those sound pretty good. The grapefruit sounds tried and true and the chambord sounds new and funky to me. Im looking forward to trying them both of course!

By "Wray & Nephew" I assume you're talking about the white overproof?

Hi Rum Balls,

Yes we're talking about the Overproof 63%. Powerful stuff. In fact I don't know any other rum branded as W&N (I'm not including Appleton's here).

It take a little work, but one of the hands down best mixers for Wray & Nephew is Jasper's Rum Punch.

That drink sounds good...unfortunately I am not a big fan of grapefruit/grapefruit juice.

What about swapping the grapefruit juice with pineapple juice? Would I have to modify the ingredients to accomodate the pineapple juice?

That's a good question JMac but I can't answer. I'm out of W&N and out of sugar cane syrup as well. W&N is sadly not sold in Quebec.

Maybe Forrest can help on this. I can tell you one thing though I do not like grapefruit but I love this drink.
