Captain Morgan 100 proof spiced rum
A few of the local liquor stores had this in and said it was just 2 weeks old. It's so new I can't even find it on the Captain Morgan website, nor could I find an image of it to steal using Google search or on the BevMo website. I doubt I'll ever buy any to try myself (Captain Morgan and Private Stock are unimpressive to say the least), but I was wondering if any of you guys had seen this yet. I'm guessing they are trying to come up with something to match Sailor Jerry, its 92 proof, and whatever inroads it was making on Cap'n Mo's marketshare.

I've only heard of the 100 proof Captain Morgan. It sounds like Oregon is ahead of the curve. I hope to get out there before Thanksgiving, or at least before it gets too cold, though I saw a news clip today of Portland it looked pretty cool.

Haha you mean the 70 proof don't you Ed? It's getting a bit cold already so you should hurry up. Did you have anything specific in mind to do up here in Portland? Too bad you won't be around on the 21st. I look forward to going to my first and last "Tiki Tuesday" at Teardrop hosted by one of our own forum members.

It's True
I just bought a bottle of the Captain Morgan's Black Cask 100 proof spiced rum and already my buddies and I love it. It has more vanilla flavor in it and is a little sweeter tasting. I will post a pic as soon as I upload it for yall. Oh yeah this is in Georgia so Oregon is not the only place that has it.

A really fancy black and gold label. Great collar on the neck/cap of the bottle. Very spiffy duds for the Captain, indeed.

We have a sign for it in Wis. Haven't looked for it in the wild yet!

If nothing else, you can soak your newspaper or kindling in it and it would make a nice fire starter...
stick to Sailor Jerry, the Sailor will take better care of you than the Captain.
