Default Havana Club

Does anybody know how to get a hold of a bottle of Havana Club in the USA? I want to try an original mojito but don't have any leads on where to purchase from... Thanks!

Welcome NJDeVriese! As you may know, while it is not illegal for USA residents to consume products from Cuba it is illegal to purchase and import them.

When you have the chance please pop over to the Introductions forum and tell us a bit about yourself.

Can anybody give any advise on which white rum easily available tastes the closest to the Havana Club used in mojitos? Thanks!

A search found two mojito recipe threads - here and here.
Perhaps they can be of some help.

Go to Canada my friend, as for getting any back...you're on your own. Sometimes Ebay has bottles for sale (I've never ordered). As for easy replacements...in IA...Flor De Cana is the closest that comes to mind. Then Brugal, then the almighty dreaded Bacardi. Wish I could be more helpful, sorry.
