White Rums

Whether you call them, clear, silver, white or simple 'see through' how do you drink them?

I got the Limon on closeout at HiTime. It has an authentic lime taste, not overpowering. I think it was $5 a bottle. The Extra Lite is a watered down (35%) version of the Extra Dry. I bought two bottles in Nicaragua and brought them back. No difference to my taste buds from the X dry, though.

I have the whole range as well, 4 white, 4 light, 4 gold, 5 black label (probably going away), 7 anejo, 12 centenario, 21st Century, and 18. There is no 7 year old white, but it's a very intriguing idea. Flor De Caсa is said to have the largest stores of aged rum in the Caribbean region and they could certainly filter some color out of a 7 and bottle it for the right price, if the demand was there.

Since Diplomatico is enjoying rave reviews for the Rum Blanco aged white, it may cause a spark in old white rums, a category that really never existed before now.

+ 1 for the 4 year old Extra Light. One day I'll grow up and be just like RobertBurr! For now I'm a couple of items short of "the entire line".

I suspect the mention of a 7 year white was a typo or a limited presentation I haven't seen the likes of [yet].
