This Barcelona based web retailer lists this rum as a three year old white from Cuba.

The Importer/Wholesaler listed is located in the Northwest Basque area. This may account for a local cult following amongst the well known separatists in that area of Spain. The importer does not seem to maintain a website.

Does not look white though that could be due the background of this image:

Perhaps Gatomalo will tell us if it is any good and if it is not I want to buy this bottle to my collection anyway, just because it amuses me.

Getting back to the Castro rum conversation I love the 2007 gift set they have on their website. Rum, glasses, cigars, matches (or chocolate?). It is perfect!

Apparently they can make more of those gift packs if theres demand. Just found out. And the golden things in the box are chocolate.

Hey, Count Silvio! The information on the bottle is not particularly helpful. The rear label says it is "made for Abanescu", a company in La Jonquera, Spain". I'm always wary of rums and wines which claim to be "made for" somebody rather than "made by", as it can often indicate a lack of quality.

You're right, it's not a white rum - it's an añejo, so as you would expect it's a golden/rum, or a ron dorado as they say in Spain.

Its alcohol volume is 37.5%, and the rear label talks of it being produced using the best honey and sugar cane. I haven't opened it yet, but the description on the label leads me to believe it might be a bit like Ron Legendario.

As soon as I've tried it I'll post my impressions here, but I should say that it only cost me about 7.50 Euros, so I'm not expecting too much.
