Default Carta Vieja The Rum of Panama

Hi guys, I work at a wine/liquor distributor and over the past year rum has become my drink of choice. I get a lot of free rum from work, but recently an old boss moved away and I received a bottle of Carta Vieja rum. I was able to find a picture of the label online at but otherwise cannot find any other information on this rum. Do any of you know anything you can tell me about this rum. I usually like to read a bit of information or know a bit about each rum before I taste it, but I may have to dive in head first on this one

My wife says it is the really cheap CV that the drunks buy. She is Panamanian. I usually buy the Aсejo or Claro. Good rum, but not as popular as Abuelo.
