A bunch of new Rums coming to Alberta, that I uncovered at the Rocky Mountain Food and Wine show:

Kilo Kai Spiced Rum
Mount Gay Eclipse (Silver & Regular in the new bottles)
Mount Gay 1703
Castillo Spiced Rum
Cruzan 9 Spiced
St Nicholas Abbey Plantation
Hacienda Saruro (Diplomatico)

It seems we in Alberta continue to be blessed with a great selection.

I did try the Cruzan 9 Spiced last with with a diet coke and found it quite enjoyable. Not a huge fan of spiced rums but the Cruzan seemed very mature smooth and tasty !!!!

I have heard nothing but good things with respect to the Cruzan 9. Hopefully I will see the bottles in the store soon.

I would think that they will not sell much at that price. 10 year old rum for 160 seems a bit steep. Unless you feel that the bottle is worth 80 dollars
I personally think there will be many other choices for much less that a person would love. At 160 it would have to be much superior than ED21 at 80-90 or Appleton 21 at 120. It would be also close in price to the 25 year English Harbour 1981 which is 188.

Looking online I would think that this would be in the 100 dollar range in Alberta.

Like CalgaryX said, I think it seems a bit overpriced imho. But, if they can sell it at that price, good for them...

Well I'll likely buy a bottle, as I'm sure Arctic and CalgaryX will. But the question well be if we buy a second bottle...
