Introduction: New Member / Kirbersko

I had the great pleasure of meeting you at the 2018 Hukilau and enjoying 7 of your very fine rums!
I am new to the forum but not to rums or rhums. I started out a microbrew beer drinker and was so happy to have met and discussed beer with Michael Jackson (The Beer Hunter) at the Brickskeller in Washington, D.C. at a few of their monthly beer tastings in the 1980s. My discussions with Mr. Jackson got me interested in whiskey and whisky and spent several years trying and enjoying different ones. I eventually worked my way through gin, tequila, rum, brandy, liqueurs, and cordial offerings (yes, even some vodkas but not a fan). My preference now is for rum but will rarely turn down a well made cocktail with other spirits.
I look forward to learning more about rum and rhum from your book, Rums of the Eastern Caribbean (recently purchased used), and this forum. Wishing that someday I might obtain a copy of your book, The Complete Guide to Rum, and waiting to hear more about your next book.
