Default Can't find this anywhere - Vaya Rum

Can't find this anywhere - Vaya Rum

Does anyone have experience with this rum?

I found it on vacation at the ABC stores in Daytona Beach, Fl., but can't find references on the Web or recall where it's from.

Since am now in Los Angeles, I'm stumpd.

Have you tasted? Opinion?

I suspect that you may be refering to Zaya Rum. The script on certain labels can make them hard to read.

If it is Zaya, then there is plenty of info available from our own members.

Check out Scottes and Roger's review on their sites:

And if you are in Califronia, Bevmo sell this offering really reasonably

....and welcome

I got a bottle of Zaya this past weekend (late birthday present). Fantastic rum, and so completely different when you add a cube of ice or splash of water than it is completely neat...the cocoa and molasses flavors just kind of rush out and consume your senses.

I am most pleased.

I'll have to try it that way. I liked it but found it a bit too sweet for me when consumed neat.

Default Mongo has returned, a bit worse for wear. Yup t'was Zaya

Thanks for the replies.

I've found Zaya with a Z in So. Cal. for about 29 at Vons/Pavillions, but will be running to Costco for a look.

In appreciation for posting support:

If you mix a bottle of CocoLoco coconut with a bottle of pineapple juice in a sturdy container . . . Shove it in the freezer for a good while . . . (Be sure to stir while freezing so it doesn't separate . . . )

You will have a a convenient, tasty mixer you can leave in the frig' and shave off into a glass as needed.

A bit of shavings and a bit of Zaya will melt into a fine beverage that's ready in a sec with no blender or mess. Also works with yet other fruit juice or even iced tea . . .

Zaya is made by the same people who make Ron Zacapa Centenario so it has a very good heritage. I like the subtle chocolate and coffee flavors in Zaya without being too sweet.
