Bundaberg Rum Collectors - Bottle Showcase
Since many overseas rum drinkers dont really know a lot about Bundaberg Rum, i thought i would post some bottle images and information each week about some of the many Bundaberg Rum bottles.
Bundaberg Rum - Distillers #3
A light rum which has been triple filtered for a smooth finish. It was around for about 5 years and got discontinued in 2009. Many drinkers and collectors say this was the best rum the company had produced. This rum was also exported to the UK. If you are from the UK and spot a bottle, buy it and try it out, you wont be disappointed.
It was released in 700ml and 1125ml bottles and is 43% Alc/Vol
Back Label reads
"This unique Australian Rum has been crafted through over 100 years of know how and distilling expertise. Distiller's No.3 Rum is a triple filtered blend of the finest Bundaberg Rum. It has a smooth silky finish so it can be enjoyed neat or with your favorite mixer."

Bundaberg Rum "101"
101 is a dark rum with a smokey flavour, it was released to commemorate 101 years since the distillery was burnt down in a massive fire.
Released in 2008, it also has a great box and label design. 700ml 40%alc/vol

Truly, Bundaberg is better as a collection item than to drink.

Nice bottles. Maybe they should pay attention to what's inside as well. I opened a bottle of Bundaberg Reserve last summer and I'm still stuck with it. I can't get anybody to drink it, once they've tasted it.

Black 1987
Bundaberg "Black" Rum - 1987
"The Pride of the Distillery", this was the catch phrase for the Black series of aged rums that the Bundaberg Distilling Company released from 1995 - 2007 and then again 2010.
The Rum in Vat 105 started to mature in 1987 and was bottled and sold in 1997. Aged 10 years and with a limited quantity produced, these are a rare collectors item.

Watermark
Bundaberg Rum "watermark"
A special 5 year old rum that was selected from a certain vat in the bond. All profits from this rum were donated to the flood relief appeal.
Months earlier, massive flooding occurred over Eastern Australia and as the distillery sits right beside a river it was nearly inundated as well.

Well if you wouldn't be 20 hours away, it would be my pleasure.
I respect your taste, but would you answer these questions?
a) Do you work for Bundaberg?
b) Did you taste any other rum?
Just kidding.
