Does anyone know how much one could ask for this bottle of rum?
My father-in-law is a retired cardiologist and as it was customary in the 70's through 90's in Poland doctors were given alcohol as a token of appreciation. As my father-in-law never drank he stored the bottles of which we have quite a stock.
One of them is a bottle of Havana Club rum. Aged for 7 years before it was sold, and then it has stayed with our family for a bit more than 40 years, so its age is around 50!
Once the spirit has left the oak cask further aging adds nothing to the product.
It is worth the same as any other bottle of 7YO Havana Club. Maybe a buck more if they made better batches back in the day. Shrug.
