Default Hi from Rockville MD

Hiya peoples,

Im a huge rum fan out here in MD near DC, I was actually looking online for a gift for one of my drinking buddies and randomly found this site.

Happy I did, Ive already found out some really cool info about my favorite sauce/booze.

Actually I wasnt able to answer my question online, so I was wondering if anyone here could give me some info.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a novelty sized bottle of rum? Im talking like at least 3liters. Its kinda a gag gift, but perfect for my buddy.
If not, thanks for welcoming me here, I friggin love me some rum.

-J

Welcome to the forums jpm. You probably won't find that in MD. If there is anyone in your area that might be able to find one for you it would be Joe Riley at Ace Beverage in Washington DC.

Any oversized bottle in my part of the world is known as a Texas Mickey

I just searched the term and this was the first site that came up, but there seems to be lots of examples out there...is this the size you were thinking of? In any case happy hunting.

In Quebec, we have the Bacardi Superior in 3l. We used to have the Appleton V/X (I actually bought 2).

But I doubt that would be of any help. 12h drive for this is really not worth it.

Good luck in your hunt. Edward is spot on, Ace Beverage is your very best local source for the unusual. Joe Reily knows his rum (and distributors).

I'm right next door to you in G'burg. Have you found any bars in the area with a decent selection of rum? I'm working on getting The Lodge to consider a couple of premium sippers to their mix.

Welcome to the Ministry!
