Temptryst Cherrywood: A Review
Well, I finally got my blog up and running and today I published my first review of a rum: Temptryst Cherrywood.
I feel like I've learned just about everything that you see in that review here, and I had a blast writing it. So thanks to everyone here for helping to broaden my horizons, and thanks to Daniel for the rum!

Good review. I have to remember to keep an eye open for it next time I travel.

I gave a little rum tasting to about 15 people in NYC on Sunday night. Out of the 15, 11 were not rum drinkers, and certainly not neat! They "suffered" through a couple lesser rums to get some idea of tastes to come, then a couple good rums, and then I sent out 15 tastes of the Cherrywood Reserve.
It was unanimous - every single person there loved it. Every single person.
They also tasted the El Dorado 21, Santa Teresa 1796, Zaya, Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva and many others. At the end, everyone kept talking about the Zaya and the Cherrywood Reserve. Sure, they liked the 1796 and most like the ED21, but they were forgotten in favor of the Temptryst and the Zaya.
I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel at RumFest in NYC, and we talked about rum among other things. I introduced Nicole, from the tasting, to Daniel and her face lit up and the two of them discussed scorpion infusions for many minutes. It was quite interesting, to say the least.
I have to go back and give the Cherrywood a full and proper review, but I have to say that it was great to see so many people enjoy it, unanimously.

So far, amongst my family and friends that have never been "rum drinkers", Ron Matusalem Gran Reserva and the Temptryst Cherrywood have been the favorites, with Zaya, Ron Zacapa 23, and El Dorado 21 rounding out the top 5.

Unfortunately for the world, it's not on the market yet. You're going to have to wait at least a year to find it in stores from what I've heard.

Thanks to all for the great words! Sounds like I have more work to do gearing up ASAP.
But personally I still prefer the Temptryst Mesquite.
