Tales of the Cocktail wrapped up Sunday with an awards affair at Harah's in New Orleans. I wish I was a better poker player because walking by all those tables I was feeling lucky, fortunately I know I'm still a hack online player and probably wouldn't last as long as an ice cube in the tropics but the thought of winning stays with me.
As you would expect, the 5th Anniversary of Tales was the biggest yet. The Carousel Bar was turning for five days while some of the most influential people in the drinks industry enjoyed everything from Abita beer to Zombies.
I'm off to Chicago for a couple of days while I regroup and hit the road for New York the last week of July.
