Good for you. Tiki drinks belong in tiki mugs. Though my personal preference for a Mai Tai is a classic fluted double old fashioned glass.

I'm currently enjoying my first ever real Mai Tai.

Lovin'. It.

Using what I have around the house: Clement 10-year, El Dorado 15, Cointreau, Torani orgeat, cheap-o simple syrup. Whatev's, it's my first, and it's a beautiful complex drink.

I highly recommend making your own fresh and proper orgeat syrup. It takes some work but the results are amazing.
