You recommended Vizcaya to me quite some time ago, and I only just got around to it. I think if I had bought it earlier I would be MORE impressed. Having tried ED 12, DRE and Ron Atlantico first, though I didn't find it spectacular. Drinkable? YES.. Good sipping.. YES.. Complex.. YES but I would probably tend to reach for one of the others first. I still find Zacapa 23 at the top of my list for all around sippability but each time I try one of the others I taste something new in them.. Vizcaya brings a heck of a lot more fruit than the others and is very interesting. Zacapa has a big coffee after taste that I really like, but the fruit is nice too.

My Vizcaya finally arrived and I couldn't wait to crack one open!
Very smooth tasting and I'm glad I picked up some.

I had no problem with the cork but that may be because I tipped
the bottle sideways and rotated it before opening. I try to do this
with all corked bottles just to avoid any problems but after reading
about Recluse' problem, maybe it helped avoid breaking.

Looks like I spoke too soon.

Went to have a bit of Viz last night and while twisting the
cork, it split and the cap came off with half the cork still
inside the bottle. Guess I'll have to transfer the contents
of the remaining bottles upon opening to avoid this happening
again.
