I just added the El Dorado 21 and 25 year old rums, both of which are very good. Some of the others I don't have any good information and I try very hard not to add rums to the list where I only have some marketing information from the distiller's pr firm. All too often the rum just doesn't live up to the story.

The research continues.

Ed, recognising most humbly that this is tantamount to offering snow to the eskimos.....are there any rums that might be available here that are harder to source where you are?

We're chatting to all the UK suppliers, importers and distributors daily and we could suggest bottles sent your way, if you would like?

There are a number of rums that don't make it to this side of the pond, but originated south of here. Silver Seal Demerara rums for example aren't found in the US at all. I was just in Jamaica and saw a couple of bottles of Edwin Charley rum but Wray & Nephew is much more interested in the Appleton Estate Jamaican rums.

I should have taken the opportunity to bring more rums home from London, but I'll be more prepared next time I come over.

I thought I had the Flor de Cana 18 on the list, and just found it. Hopefully the new list format will make it easier to find some of your favorite rums. Another rum you'll have to look for is Royal Oak from Trini listed as Angostura Royal Oak Select. Over the years the rum names have had to include a distiller so that I could find them and to avoid confusion.

Havana Club Anejo Reserva is another one that is on my list, so please check again.

As for sharing lists. I'm working on making our favorites lists viewable by others, in my spare time, which is hard to find these days. One of the problems is making these lists viewable by others with some security so others can't change your list. I'll also be adding a couple of other fields like last updated.

Eskimos need snow too.

If you will update your Profile in the User CP > Edit Profile and then in the top block of questions

Select whether or not your list of favorite rums will be public or private. Make my list of favorite rums

> make this public by selecting public from the list. (The default is public for new users)
And Wahla, your list of favorite rums will be pubic for others to see. In the future I'd like to make this available only to other members who are logged in but I don't have that code in front of me. It's always something.

I took the liberty of changing Paul's profile so we can all see his list so he doesn't have to type so much. Next I'm going to have a cumulative list of member favorites but that's going to have to wait until I have another glass of my favorite spirit.

After making this public, I edited my list of favorites. While there are some rums I would rather drink than others, I tried to choose those rums that I prefer from a particular distiller. As an example, the Barbancourt 5 star, 8 year old, is my favorite from Barbancourt. Of course I like to drink the others, but that is my favorite of that group.

Ed, when I click to my favourites, it brings up your list and tells me I am logged in as you.

Damn, I didn't make up a second user name yet for testing but hopefully this is sorted out. I never claimed to be a programmer.

No need to thank me. it's the least I can do. And as my last boss told me, "Ed, you always do the least you can do."

Explains why we both became self-employed. Pretty sure I haven't been missed in the office work-place

I believe the term is willfully, self-under-employed.
