I believe the asking price is AUD $1,250. I would not trade either my Eldorado 25 year old or Mount Gay Tricentennial Rum for a bottle of this, despite much lower asking prices.

Bundaberg Rum reckons there is some 35 year old liquid in the bottle

rumours are 0.1% of the bottle is 35 year old rum, the rest is plain old 2 year old under proof

Guessing the age of a blend is, for the most part, a fool's game. Without knowing how many times the contents of the vat were, say half full, and how many times that vat was full you can't even begin to guess how old a blend really is. And then there are the marketers who really don't have a clue, or care, about the facts.

To their credit it looks like someone did manage to get a lot of folks to stand in line, what are they feeding those people? At least the weather looks nice.

I hope they're not employees waiting for the payroll, and that the payroll is not linked to sales at export. (even with a heavy discount they're unable to sell Bb here)

The price does seem way out of line with the product. For that kind of money you can get some top ranked internationally recognized rums. I will say that I am enjoying the back and forth on this thread though. It is entertaining.
