Default Santa Teresa Venezuela

In May 2007, I visited the Santa Teresa distillery, the oldest licensed distillery in Venezuela. Here are a few pictures from that trip.

Nice pictures that invites me to visit the distillery. Besides your comments I would add that Santa Teresa owner´s is the same family since its foundation in 1796...more than 200 years.

Actually, the Vollmer family emigrated from Germany in 1826 and bought the Santa Teresa estate in 1885.

Default Santa Teresa Rums

Hi Ed. Just saw your post about your visit to Santa Teresa. While you were there, did you happen to taste and discuss their Orange Liqueur? Can you offer any info on how it is made? I always thought it was one of the best rum-based liqueurs, but I haven't been able to find it here in Colorado in many years.
