Default Has anyone tried Mount Gay Black Barrel?

I was at a wine and liquor store and saw Mount Gay Black Barrel on Friday. I have never seen it before and was priced at $28 and the only one there. There were many bottles at the store priced lower that I wanted to get (Barrilito 3 star, El Dorado 12, Plantation Grand Reserve, Pampero, Barcelo- to name a few)
Apparently it just came out last month. I hesitantly put it in my basket and looked around at other bottles before putting it back on the shelf. After deciding on another bottle (PGR at $10 less) I was wondering if anyone has yet tried it and might have any thoughts.

Black Barrel is actually very good and I prefer it over the Eclipse and XO, in some instances I might even choose it over the 1703. I'd definitely give it a go. You are ridiculously lucky to have such low prices in the states.

My wife and I had it a month ago when we were in Barbados at the distillery. We really enjoyed it and my wife loves overproof and it was a tasty rum. Now I wish I bought a bottle to bring home, but so many decisions.
