Default The Best Orgeat

Hi fellas,

i've reached a point where making my favourite Mai Tai version better is only possible by changing the orgeat.
Currently I'm using Monin but I'm not satisfied with this stuff.

So I'm looking for a good buyable (please don't come up with recipes ) orgeat.
Price doesnt matter - I want the good stuff

Something organic would be nice. Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Elias

Try Meneau (organic) http://www.boutique-meneau.com/catal...sult/?q=orgeat) or Giffard (http://www.1001boissons.com/sirops/1...op-orgeat.html) or
The choice is wide (Berger as used in bistrots for mauresque, Teisseire, Moulin de Valdonne, ...)

Try your own mix using quality almond syrup with a hint of "fleur d'oranger" (orange blossom?) water. After all, this is all what makes orgeat syrup.

(this is where I buy my flavored sugar, top for planteurs and daïquiris)
Good luck in your research!

The best you can get is from Small Hand Foods.

Wow. This one looks really really good. A pity it is out of stock at the Cask Store :/

My favourite at the moment without doubt is Combiers Sirop D Orgeat,
followed just behind by Routin 1883 Orgeat Almond.
Before that I regularly used Giffard, Monin & Tesseire.
I don't think any of them will spoil the taste of an ultimate Mai Tai,
but Combier & 1883 have the edge.
Cheers.

I haven't tried the orgeat, but I have tried some of the other products and found them to be very good:

Plus the hazelnut orgeat sounds intriguing!

BG Reynolds, formerly known as Trader Tiki, is very good.
