Hey Losty,...Check this tool out. It'll solve your problem, and many others.

http://www.jefferslivestock.com/prod...d=LIV&pn=M6-T1

I use it to open and cut through all kinds of materials,...clamshell packages, etc., etc.,... and yes, Foursquare bottle seals. I got it in a garden pruning sheer double pack 25 years or so ago. (Works great in the garden too). Guess it has now been relegated to pruning animal nails and hoofs, which is a testimony to it's rugged construction. But it has been worth every penny I paid for it. I use it for something just about every day. But I'm sure a similar garden shear would work as well for you.

there should be a little tab of wax paper sticking out to pull on-- that cuts through the wax?

'should' is the operative word.

No paper here. I'm ever so slowly nursing my bottle, it will be a long time before I get back to BIM to get more and it's not available up here in Ontario.
