I've never had the Castries cream, but I do still have 2 bottles of its predecessor: Nuts'N'Rum.

My wife will occasionally break that out and make Peter Pans using a recipe we got from our bartenders in St. Lucia during our honeymoon.

Peter Pan? I've never heard of this drink. Was this a local concoction, or is my mixed drink ignorance showing once again? Regardless, would your wife mind sharing the recipe. As a fan of all things Peter Pan, I can't pass up a drink with such a name. Thanks in advance.

I'll confess that I have never heard of nor seen the drink outside of St. Lucia and my kitchen. I do not honestly know if it is known beyond those two places.

I don't know the specifics of the drink, but I've sent an email to my wife asking for the recipe, which I will post here.

Please don't. It already sounds good, and I won't be able to get my hands on Castries for a while.

:-)

Just kidding of course. And hopefully I'll be getting a couple bottles at the end of Feb when I pass thru NYC.

Deliciousness is...

2 parts Castries
1 part Port

Makes a Peanut Butter and Jelly shot. When poured together neat, it tends to coagulate, so I recommend chilling and shaking.

Thanks to Clyde at Castries for that recipe!

Head to Astor in Manhattan and you'll find it. I'll see if I can get the importer to chime in here and offer some more suggestions.

I know itll be carried in PA within the next couple weeks, by the time I get back in to NY, Ill have it already.

Castries is a product I really hope becomes the next big thing, as its creators are genuine and dedicated. (David is the CEO and Clyde is the President. David gets the bigger title only because he took the sacrifice of leaving his job to work on Castries for 2 years before Clyde joined suit. Dedication will pay off for them!) And the fact that it is an amazing spirit doesnt hurt!
