Well, I have returned from my trip. (I had to be dragged on the plane kicking and screaming). I have quite a bit of things to talk about, so I will do it in installments. I returned with a wonderful selection of Rhum Agricole, and had the opportunity to taste quite a few.
First, congrats to Angelsword for winning the medals in the competition,
and my hats off to everyone who participated and attended! I wont miss the next one!
This was the bounty that came home with me:
Martinique:
Neisson XO
Clement Cuvee Charles
Clement Rhum Vieux 10 Ans D'age
Rhum J.M. Rhum Vieux Special Reserve
Trois Rivieres 1996
Le Mauny 1995
J. Bally 1998
Dillon Tres Vieux Rhum
Guadaloupe:
Montebello Ans D'age
Damouiseau Rhum Vieux 15
Rhum Bologne Blanc
and last but not least: Reserva Anejo from Puerto Rico.
My only disappointment was that I could not find Rhum DePaz anywhere,
and nothing from La Favorite.
There were at least 5 others, but I was at my limit of what I could carry,
with the help of friends. Next installment to come later!
