I am reading it right now and I am really enjoying it. It talks about history and rum; what's not to love?

It really is a spectacular book. Also be sure to check out Wayne Curtis' blog, Slow Cocktails.

I've read it. I received it for X-Mas and read it all within a couple of weeks.

It is a really good read.

Reading it right now and really enjoying it. The author has a really great writing style-- he strikes the right balance of historical accuracy and lightheartedness, which is perfect for a topic like rum, that will always have that element of the exotic and adventurous to it.

I enjoyed this book a lot, really enjoyed the history lesson and the info on how rum played such a huge part in the development of the new world.

If anyone has any other recommends of similar books please let me know.
