How Am I Just Finding This Place?

Got here via a post in /rum on Reddit re: Hamilton's story. I can't believe I didn't know about this place.

Like a lot of people, I was introduced to the mass-produced "brand name" stuff we're all familiar with. Over time as my tastes in whisky evolved, so did my taste in rum. I'm always looking for something new to try.

I have a few "go-to" rums that I keep around for mixing but I'm really discovering a taste for the finer rums from around the Caribbean.

Am I the only one that finds that i tend to like from certain islands more than others?

Welcome to the forums. You're certainly not the only one who likes rums from some islands more than those from others. I tend to prefer rums from Anglophone and Francophone islands in comparison to rums from Spanish speaking countries.
