Default Old rum ID needed

I found this bottle in my late grand mothers basement the other day when my family was clearing out the house and I was wondering if it was something special or something that just tasted damn good and I should celebrate with it on a special occasion (she had two bottles, one un-opened and the other half full). The drink is very tasty with a slight hint of brown sugar after taste and is really smooth. I had to fight my roommate off of this bottle. Here are some pictures of the labels.

The bottom of the bottm of the bottle reads, letter for letter (I don't speak spanish), reads:

No Licorera Quezalteca
Envase Oficial 3/4 Litro

As far as I can tell, the bottle was bought in one of my grand mothers many travels and I can't tell when or where it was bought. Any information would be helpful.

Any information would be helpful, thanks.

Welcome to the forums. The bottles you have were bottled by Licorera Quezaltec, the company that distills and bottles Zacapa and Botran rums in Guatemala.

Since you've tried one of these bottles you already know it's pretty good rum with a slightly sweet finish. I'd save the second for a special event and share it with some friends who appreciate good rum and would like to expand their horizons. That rum is still being bottled but you'll have to go to Central America to get it.

Welcome to thr for-rum!

What a sweet find. i have always enjoyed the Ron Botrans, though i haven't seen that one (probably because it is South America only as Ed said)

Do you think they were trying to copy the old Bacardi label here??
If it's a Botran rum you know it has to be good. I think that will be my nightcap!!
