Just when I yesterday got confirmation of being able to get some 250th from Germany, I read about this new Appleton's today, D'oh! One more for the list. Hopefully, though being newly release will make it easier to obtain than the old 250th

Joy Spense, Appleton's master blender, was recently in New Zealand promoting the rum. The actually auctioned the bottles that were allocate there. It will be a hard product to get as there will only be 1440 made for the entire world. So keep you fingers crossed.

Damn! No way I can dish out 200-250 krakens aka squid aka quid aka pounds for that! 1440 bottles is indeed very little, I am wondering whether they are saving some of the 30 yo in the barrels to be launched as a 60 yo in 30 years . Imagine the price then!

Default Appleton Estate 30 Year

I just found out today that Appleton Estate 30 Year is now available in Ontario. 156 bottles @ $ 499.95 each. I wish I had $500 right now.

For those who have had both. How does Appleton 30 year compare to say a 1992 cask 23?
