Default Appleton V/X

Gerry's in Old Compton Street, Soho, London W1 have the Appleton V/X at Ј16 a bottle at the moment. That's Ј0.60 cheaper than Tesco.

Thanks for the info!

January seems to be a barren month in terms of special offers on rum. After the wide variety of great rum offers right across the board in supermarkets in the run-up to Christmas, there now seems to be very little out there to tempt the rum-drinker to part with his cash. Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Waitrose, nothing doing in any of them.

I picked up a bottle of the V/X in Tesco last month for £14.50 (I think), which is still waiting to be opened! I've earmarked it for this weekend!

Sorry, I made a mistake. It's actually Ј16.50. That's only Ј0.10 cheaper than Tesco. Incidentally, Gerry's doesn't seem to stock as many rums as it used to - don't know why.

The Vintage House, just down the road from Gerry's, claims to have over 200 rums, although I haven't counted them myself. They did have English Harbour 5 year old at Ј17.25, but I think I bought the last bottle.
