Default Buffalo and Niagara Falls liquor stores

Hello guys, in October my friend is going to the States, more precisely Buffalo and Niagara Falls NY so he's ready to take my order.

I looked for Liquor Stores online in that area to check out the products available, I've done just that and man is it ever painfull, lots of dead-ends.

Anyone know of Liquor Stores in Buffalo and Niagara Falls which have a website and a list of their products?

A friend in Buffalo has recommended Premier as having the best selection in the area. You'd probably have to call to get specifics on which rums they have.

Premier? alright I'll look into it, thank you Rutherford H Mountbatten

Mikeycanuk I heard though that one has to spend 24 hours in the States to be allowed "legaly" to bring back a bottle to Canada.

From my quick fact check, no, it's just you get to pay ALL the taxes. Not that you get much from a 24hr stay, $50 total. Whoo hoo.

So I'd be paying taxes (13%) on the total price of bottles bought in the States if I didn't spent 24 hours there?

Thanks for enlighting me.

The Premier Group has three stores:

Prime in Kenmore

Premier in Williamsville

Prestige in Orchard Park

They all have a decent rum selection (I mainly go for their whisk(e)y).
Their websites aren't much for viewing stock but I can recommend the
stores.

Another to consider - The Global Group:

Colonial in Orchard Park

Global in Amherst

McKinley in Blasdell

You can search the Global Group websites to see what they stock if you
are looking for something specific. Note that not all stores carry the same
stock or one might sell out faster than the others so if an item isn't listed
at one store you may want to check the other two, just in case.

If you have a specific area you friend will be at (Orchard Park, Amherst, etc.),
I may have additional stores to suggest. Feel free to send me a PM for links.

It's not just 13% HST, there are others too. "Sin" taxes. Not sure their exact name but it's one reason we pay so much for booze north of the border.
