Default Petite Canne Sugar Syrup?

I'd very much like to get hold of this but it seems to be unavailable in Norway. Does anyone know if it might be available in UK/Swedish/Danish online shops?

Unfortunately, it is only available in the US at this time.

I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm but not all sugar cane syrups are created equally. What you are looking for is Sirop de Canne from Martinique, preferably from Dubois, the syrup marketed by Dillon or Depaz is closer to molasses than golden sugar cane syrup.

I think I found something but I wouldn't know if it's the propper thing or the one closer to molasses as you say. This isn't easy
Is this one alright? : http://www.thedrinkshop.com/products...hp?prodid=3771

It looks like it is..but check first if they really ship to Norway because they don`t ship to Sweden. At least not for the moment as they are looking for a new carrier.

I've looked all over and it's not easy to find sugar cane syrup from Martinique. However, it looks a cane syrup from La Mauny is for sale through Royal Mile Whiskies. Would anyone know if it's alright for a Ti-Punch?

I had the opportunity last year to taste different french cane syrups last year.
Ed is correct they are not created equal. I had 2 from Guadaloupe that were very rich, like molasses. The Depaz syrup had a strong molasses flavor also.
I am very fortunate to have Petite Canne. I might try the Le Mauny, in leiu of the others.

Thumbs up

If you do try the one from La Mauny then I'd love to hear your impressions of it

Cheers!
