Default A reformed wine drinker

Hi everyone,

I first discovered a love of rum when a former boss brought back the good stuff from Puerto Rico. I hoarded it and when it ran out I started drinking wine. About a year ago, my inlaws asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I said a good bottle of rum. They got me the Zacapa 23 and reignited my taste buds.
Now, I'm enjoying a number of different rums and have been converting friends, in particular a tequila drinker. We regularly exchange new finds and tasting experiences and enjoy sitting back in the hot tub in the summer and in front of the fire with a nice chilled glass of rum.
Hope to find some new friends and new rums here!

Welcome to the forums Ambrown32. Ah, the elusive good stuff. I don't know how long ago you were enjoying good Puerto Rican rums but I think you'll find that there are a number of good rums coming to the US that weren't available even a few years ago.

There's nothing wrong with wine, but as the song goes, liquor is quicker.

When I dream up a better job, I'm going to take it. In the meantime, the research continues.
