Default Tommy Bahama Discontinued

In case anybody didn't know Tommy Bahama is being discontinued by Sidney Frank. This was confirmed on my recent trip to Barbados by the distiller himself, Richard Seale. So start hoarding if this is one of your favourite rums!!

I never took this rum seriously because of the Tommy Bahama branding, but hey, it's R. L. Seale.

I love Doorly's XO.

Should I pick up a bottle? Or does it suck?

Just to be clear...is it no longer being made? Or just not being rep'd by SFrank?

I haven't actually been told by Sidney Frank that their agreement has expired though I have heard rumors that it is no longer being bottled in Barbados. My suggestion is to keep an eye on the price at your local store.

i can verify as of right now Tommy Bahama will not have a rum made by anyone. As far as any deals in the works for someone else to make it im not at liberty to say but i can tell you at this time Tommy Bahama has pulled all signature drinks from its bar menus and replaced them with other premium rums.

Tommy Bahama rum was licensed by Sidney Frank and produced by R.L. Seale until last winter then the license was not renewed. I still see Tommy Bahama Rum on liquor store shelves and expect to see that rum discounted shortly as store owners look to clear their shelves for products that sell through faster.

An excellent news for the anti-Premium league!
Could this be an exemple for all the gold-diggers (it is nearly unavailable in UE, the only place selling at 59 + shipping...while for 39E you get a no frills 15y ElDorado)

A very good rum (it is from Barbados) but its sales were so bad here in the midwest that it went from around $20-30 a bottle to $10 to get it off the shelves. It's still a great light rum in my opinion and it will be missed.
