Default Hola Ron Bebedores!

It's great to be here!

I am an ex bartender/wine and spirits salesman/global brand trainer with a passion for tiki culture and anything relating to spirits.

I've recently moved to the Canary Islands and have started to investigate the local rums, as the islands have such an important role in the history of sugar cane and rum itself. Apart from the direct distillery pages does anyone know of any other good resources on Canarian rum?

The database here only lists Arehucas distillery as the sole producer on the islands. Ed, I have added a list of other distilleries that I have found at the bottom.

I'm interested in learning more about the rums from the Canaries and sharing this knowledge with professionals and enthusiasts, and will be posting rum reviews of the local produce as I go.

Any interest or advice would be gratefully appreciated

I'm working to make it easier for distilleries to add information about themselves and their rums. The challenge is the incredible amount of spam that I have to deal with as soon as I open this forum to public input. But I'm working on it.

In the meantime, I'm also importing about 30 rums to the US and that is taking all of my free time.

Thank you for your insight and I look forward to following up with you to get more information so I can add these other rum producers to the database.

When I dream up a better job, I'm going to take it. In the meantime, the research continues.
