Default Eva's Carribean Kitchen again

Eva had another great rum tasting tonight (4/22)

This time it was rum and chocolate...

We enjoyed Martinique Rhum Clement XO with Red Fire chocolate ( mexican ancho and chipotle chile and Ceylon cinnamon), Appleton 12-year old with Mo's Bacon Bar (chocolate with applewood smoked bacon), Zafra 12-year old with Naga exotic (chocolate with Indian curry and coconut), Dos Maderas 5+5 with Habana Bar (chocolate with plantains), and Martinique Rhum Clement Creole Shrubb with chocolate Creole (chocolate with chickory and cocoa nibs).

The whole thing was complemented by Crab and Sweet Corn Cakes, Aubergine Choka (eggplant stuffed with garlic and shallots, etc), Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, and Berry infused Castries Peanut Rum Cream for dessert.

As always, Eva puts on a great event and the service it top-notch.

If you are in the Orange County area, and you love rum, then you must visit Eva's on the PCH. She has nearly 200 rums on hand.

The next event is July 11th. It will be rum and cigars. I will be there with some special cigars from the ISOM for a lucky few, plus whomever Eva arranges to handle the tastings.
