Default Q Ginger

I havn't posted in a while, but I just found some Q Ginger while traveling for the holidays. I'm a fan of the Q Tonic, but haven't seen the Q Ginger before. The Q Ginger is quite complex, spicy, floral, not as sweet as most ginger beers so it requires some modifications of the classics. I like 2-3 parts Q Ginger to 1 part rum. So far Goslings Black Seal, and Demerara 5 year are my preferred pairings, occasionally with a splash of simple syrup.

I've been on a bit of a gin kick lately and must say that the Q Tonic really takes my gin and Tonic to a new level. The Q Ginger based upon your description sounds really nice as well, although I believe it is a Ginger-ale, rather than a Ginger Beer.

I tried Q Tonic, but didn't care for it at all. I like some of the others -- Fever Tree, Stirrings -- better. I've seen their Ginger at the store and thought about picking it up, but haven't yet. (I'm thinking about doing a Ginger Beer taste test.)

They do call it a ginger ale, but it has more ginger bite than most ginger beers that I have tried. It makes a fine Dark and Stormy
