Default Rum Renaissance Wed. Arrival

I was just wondering who will be arriving on Wed, and where anyone might be.
I plan to arrive in Miami around 11AM on Wed., but my first stop will be Little Havana to check out cigar shops and have lunch at Cafe Versaille, since I can't check in until 3. I am staying at the Albion, just a couple of blocks away from the Delano and the Miami Shore Club. I imagine Wed evening we could get together for a pre event cocktail warm up, maybe at the bar in the Miami Shore Club, or another location if someone suggests one. Let me know what you think, mon amis.

Hank,

Wednesday evening you can meet up with Ian Burrell, Paul McFadyen, Ben Reed, Rikki Brodrick from Trailer Happiness, Ed Hamilton, Rum Daddy and a few other notable rummies at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. I'm planning a nice little dinner for the judges nearby. Actually this was going to be a bit of a surprise, but you might as well plan ahead. All the judges and rum enthusiasts are welcome.

The Albion is a great little hotel. A lot of folks are also staying at the Days Inn at 21st Street, which is a real bargain.

My home is close to Cafe Versailles. Call my cell when you get close.

Thanks Robert! Sounds like a great time on Wed. I should have figured that you would have something on the agenda. It's a great opportunity to meet some of the other judges and rum lovers before the event.
I will give a call when I am close to the Cafe.

I'm at the Days Inn and arrive early Wednesday morning (hopefully). Any good liquor stores near the hotel?

Thanks Robert.
Hank and I hope to join up to do some cigar/rum hunting in the area, and maybe grab a cocktail or two.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Miami.

Just got home after 5 days in South Beach.
A Fantastic event organized by the whole Burr family and Ed.
So many great rums, parties and other "attractions"!!!
Hopefully the first of many more to come. I will post some photos on my site very shortly, with the notes, as soon as I can.
Also great to meet so many of the Ministry members at last, and put a face to a name. Too many to list, but you know who you are!!
Brilliant job by all those involved. Thank you.
