I'm trying to get an interview with the owner of Barbancourt, but time zones, language problems and other difficulties are making it well, difficult.

I've gotten nothing but conflicting reports from people, all who claim to have talked to people in Haiti.

Incidentally I sent a correction suggestion to the LA Times about the sentence "unlike white rum, which is made from molasses," which they say they are correcting to just say "most rum."

Nitpicking, perhaps, but it caught my eye.

Not nitpicking at all. It was a mistake which needed correcting.
