Temptryst Lemon Wood Rum
Tonight I finished filtering and blending a small batch of lemon wood rum. This is a new event; my first batch maturing the rum using this type of wood. Anyone interested in writing a critique?
I like this one! It is a bit gentler in flavor than the cherrywood, broad across the palate, rich in aroma, smoke and lemon in the finish.

I would be interested in giving a review. How long has this been in the barrel?

I do not want to bias anyone's opinion by stating age. I was taught that it is rude to ask any woman her age, but even more so to ask such of a beautiful lady. One of the most devastating I saw was when an annoyed sales clerk asked a former professional model, "How old are you? I can tell that you used to be beautiful!"
But I will say that some of the old rules on the aging of fine spirits may no longer fully apply.

Since you put it that way I must say you are quite right at that. I apologize for my rudeness.

My apologies for implying any rudeness on your part. You were correct in asking. But for the moment I am trying to avoid the question by diverting the conversation to the subject of beautiful ladies.

If the Lemon Wood is anywhere near as good as the Orange Wood, Cherry Wood, or (still experimental) Apple Wood that I tried in Area 51, it's beyond the word "good".

Orange wood and Apple wood have yet to be blended. You only got to sample the "single" versions. Lemon wood is now complete.
It is late but I am still working on a Hickory blend tonight.
